You forgot to mention what pull them motors starts on.

You getting out? If so I hate to hear that as your stories from your hunts are great reads.

My wife and I were talking the other day. I have hunted primarily public ground for over 40 years and finally gave it up. Told her it was hard to accept that as younger men all of us thought we would hunt well into retirement but that all that I hunted with in the past that are still alive have pretty much given it up as well. When I saw that the Bridgeman was giving it up it was just another sad sign of changing times. I have enjoyed his posts. It was easy to see the picture he painted. Unfortunately Father Time doesn't seem to want to stand still for any of us. Good luck to the Bridgeman as he heads to FL for hopefully a rewarding retirement.

I've always enjoyed his stories as well. He will be missed.

I hunt with a 78 yr old or so??? Not exactly how old he is but he has been chasing them off and on since Elvis was a rookie.

We prefer boat hunting and cuss a dry year but he still walks in about 2000 yards to a knarly spot we hunt when its dry.

I make him the priority for my hunting schedule as one of the seasons will be his last...

Salute to all you tough old codgers!
