Are they burning the pools or somewhere else? I would have thought there would still be water for the northern migration, but I have no idea.
Burned Pool 5, heard it was unbelievable. Hats off to the new Manager for having the guts to do this. Heard flames were over 100 feet tall.
Disco Inferno! Burn, baby, burn!
Kansas Wetland Education Center has some cool pictures and videos on Facebook of the burn
Looks like a scene from the marsh on the western end of Lake Pontchartrain this time of year.
just 5 more pools to burn!! I wonder what Karl was thinking when he walked out of his house and saw all that smoke? Because we all know that you cannot burn in Barton County!
Some people will find something to complain about, no matter what you give 'em.
Are you referring to the bottoms for the cattail remover demo day where the machine was working well, and could be another positive option for fixing the problem, but instead you made some negative comments and complained about it and instead of being positive, when it obviously is another solution? Didn't the head biologist turn around and scold you like a little boy for not bringing a positive view and said you didnot have to be there at all or even work there if you aren't open to solutions? I heard it got a little quiet when you got scolded in public.
Jason is going to be a good fit out there and is motivated.. Cheers to a manager willing to take a risk to fix problems out there. Ive enjoyed my conversations with him and his reaction to fixing instead of excuses or blaming others being first out of his mouth. Nice change of pace for the bottoms. Hopefully it will carry over to his staff.
