    Morning Gents -
I was going through a filing cabinet and ran across some correspondence with Mr. Jerome.
I had talked to him several times through the years and he was a fine old Cajun gent.
He made me a couple of "Cane Calls" off of his creek bank from his private stock as he told me. A single & a double reed. A bunch of air to blow, but they are sure unique.

He had passed away a few yrs ago and his method of making calls went with him. A good down to earth man.

I was just wonderin' if anyone else had his calls.

    Me & Maggs.........

I used them and I loved them. The ones I had didn't take too much air. Very ducky and very fast. Mine looked more like sugar pine than cane, but they were always said to be cane. I have one left, on my gun cabinet. I lost the insert on my favorite one, in a corn field. Impossible to find.
