California Upland pic's

    Spent sometime hiking around the Barstow area and was able to get a couple of shots.

    those are awesome they are not the easiest bird to get close to.

    Thanks guys - not sure what happened to the link on the one -- so I have re-posted. This was an evening shot with the bird just behind a rock -- very heavy reflection on the lower park of the frame so it is cropped out.

    Nice pics 2 tollers,

    I live a 100 miles from Barstow and that area is just about the end of the southern range for Chukars.

    My legs and guns have permanent scars from chasing them, they are the ultimate upland bird. We have a saying, you shoot the first one in admiration, the rest are for revenge
