Can anyone identify who made this swan decoy?

    A friend of mine gave this swan decoy a few years ago and all I can decifer is Jack ?????? 100_5016.JPG 100_5017.JPG

    Man, ya got me. That guy had to fly along way as swans were mostly used on the East Coast. I can’t determine what material it’s made from, it doesn’t have a line tie. My off the wall guess it was used as decoration in someone’s garden or flower bed.

    Right below the "Swan" it says master for production. Below that is a signature Jack ????? Did Jack Wilson the callmaker ever carve decoys?

    Jack Wilson was from Flint, Michigan and I don’t think he carved any decoys.

    I just had a thought, if it says “master for production” it could be a mold that was used for decorative decoys. This guy is a real mystery. Put the head on it and let your wife put it someplace that she thinks it look good.
