Just got back from an epic fishing trip. 30+ pound pike on top water all week. Hundreds of grayling on dry flies. But the experience with Air Canada almost made it not worth it. Never again.

My wife almost punched a belligerent Air Canada stewardess (yes, I called her that on purpose) . Stuck on the ground for over an hour in sweltering heat with no a/c and she couldn't offer anyone a glass of water or allow us out of our seats. If she would have been a male steward, he would have been laid out on the floor and I'd probably still be in jail (and not allowed back on AC again).

Saying that, 99% of the time we have had good luck with International flights with Air Canada, but I prefer Westjet (if they connect to your area, which I think they do).

I am envious about the graying. I have to plan a trip up to Nunavut when I retire to get into them. What kind of flies were you using?

Caught over 200 grayling up to 4 pounds on floating beetle patterns. But they would eat any dries we threw at em. It was a fly in trip. None of the fish had seen an artificial lure in a long time.

I met Freddy Dodge from Goldrush in the Whitehorse airport. Super nice guy. He showed me pictures of the deer and moose he’s taken. The guy is an incredible hunter. He has the number one, two, and three biggest moose ever taken in Canada with a muzzle loader.

Also I should mention that I was fortunate enough to have Steve Dalcin aka BigDog come with me on the trip. A great travel companion. We both caught a bunch of fish.

Depends on what season it is.
Truly the trip of a lifetime! Scratch one off the bucket list. Benji kicked my *** trying to keep up with him fishing, the man is a fishing machine! Problem was, it never got dark so we'd fish from morning till nite with non-stop action. Amazing!! Oh yeah, Air Canada S U C K S!!!!!!
