Stole kids. The Hyundai might have been the objective, but make bad choices, get killed sometimes.

Unfortunately there is the possibility of being charged for murder of some degree. As much as I lI can appreciate a kidnapper to be pummeled by citizens right there on. The spot, it can bee seen as murder by a mob.
In the law’s eyes, in the Prosecuters and the judge’s eyes, and in the jury’s eyes, it is very possible that they believe the kidnapper should have been stopped and detained and police called to the scene. That instilling violence on a person in this instance is illegal. Unless the kidnapper was threatening the children’s lives or the chaser’s lives once he ran out of the car, the law probably can’t justify beating the s bag kidnapper to death or in any extent.
Good warning however to those who hold children's or all people’s lives in disregard.

Of course, I don't actually condone such actions, however I have a hard time feeling sorry for the dead guy.

I believe that we need to go back to the days that when you committed a crime, the results of that crime fell on the criminal.

If you want to ride the wind, be prepared to reap the whirlwind.

Sadly, he (and the others who participated) will probably face charges. Hopefully the judge is lenient. I can only imagine the rage and adrenaline he must have had once he caught up to that guy, and for good reason. Can’t blame anyone in his shoes.
