Snow geese moving over northeast Colorado the last 3 days
Yah, I heard about those last night. Saw several new flocks of small geese just north of town this morning.
No snows seen over the panhandle of NE but quite a few lessers heading your guy's way.
Birds were moving bigtime this morning and with the forcast they will be getting pushed a couple states south by a week from now.
Weather here in central Alberta has been quite mild lately. As of last weekend there were still pockets of huntable numbers of snow geese. On Nov 9 while chasing mule deer by Oyen, I noticed several large migrating flocks heading south east. That said, I saw a couple good bunches of Snow geese on Remembrance Day well north of Oyen. Still lot of canadas and mallards kicking around,,, if my freezer wasn't full of geese from Sept / Oct, I'd be out in the decoys again. At any rate we still have birds to send south yet!
from all the observers; is the hatch as bad as reported?
I hunted SK for a week and killed 2 juvies in early October.
Yes and no. Some groups are low on young geese and others are normal just depends on where you are some days.
