Chili

    Me personally, I like well seasoned food that being said most chili kits come with about 1 1/2 oz of chili powder, which is why I haven't found a kit to my liking.

    I never said I couldn't make a good one, just not a great one. This recipe with some tweaking moved it another step or two in that direction...;)

    Yeah that's what I was wondering I guess; do you go with the packaged amount or do you need more? The packages are almost always quite bland in my experience.

    I don't care for the the chili kits, if I'm going to make chili I use DK's recipe and tweak a few things so everyone can eat it, then add more heat at the table so everyone will enjoy it.:tu

    I don't generally either, but they seem pretty common. I don't generally go for a very hot one either, or so I thought.

    Holy cow I sprinkled a little too much Cayan on mine, I'm not looking foward to tomorrow morning constitution.:eek::eek::eek::l

    My Chili cooking teacher always said that Chili had to have three different meats. He like Venison, smoked wild Pig and Pig sausage, and Beef.

    Thank you for posting this up. I made it today for my family and we all loved it. Took some to my mom and she ate two bowls which is great as she is going through chemo and needs to gain weight.
