Sometimes it just takes a little time to get to the taxidermy man.
I'm hip, but how many times have you walked up on a little piece of water loaded with perfectly plumed bluewings and spoonies in April? Talk about temptation.
You can have the shovelers but I'm all for a spring bluewing season. Drakes only, just like spring gobbler season.
Often thought USFWS and the states are passing up some funding by not coming up with a special, and very limited, collection permit.
Ahh, fully plumed Sprig at 5 feet over your head in Nodak
another vote for Mexico
And shot them with #8 lead shot. Just sayin'.
Nah, it is spring time. #5 turkey load.
5's are overkill, jeopardizes the mount quality. Nothing bigger than 7 1/2's.
Water swatting flocks at 70 yds with #5’s thru a turkey choke gives you multiple prime plumed Drakes to choose from. It’s difficult to pick the best one out at such yardage. In hand, not so difficult.
