I've been using Krylon flat or matte clear for years, with good results.
Now Rustoleum has come out with their own DEAD FLAT clear, so I bought some.
I just finished painting some quantities of both duck & Canada floaters.
So Everything here was the same, & I sprayed half with KRYLON, and the
    other half with RUSTOLEUM.
    Plenty of cure time
    The Krylon wins---hands down flatter.
Just a good FYI for you decoy guys out there.

Is Dull Coat available in 10 ounce or larger cans? I could only ever find it in small cans. I would try it if I could find larger sizes.

I agree with Ringbill that the KRYLON is much better than the Rustoleum although the KRYLON can be a little tricky at times. (high humidity, low temps or putting it on too heavy = shine.)

Dull coat is hands down winner in my book. All of them need to be sprayed in low humidity to keep from whiteing.

Dulcoat is probably the best, but it's by far the most expensive and least readily available.

Krylon works well, and I think the Valspar clear flat is the exact same stuff with a different label.

I did a little reading, it's sold by 351 retail stores in the US. There is a store that stocks it about 25 miles from me. I may check it out next time I'm in the area.
