Still here. Not a lot of action going on, on this particular forum. Perhaps we can re-start it. I have been duck hunting a fair amount this season in the U.P., not seeing too many but did get my first double on geese. It was just me and my dog so that was really cool! I would like to get out and maybe hit the late bow season.

Always good to see the ladies out hunting.

I have two little girls, and the oldest just started dove hunting with me this year at 3 years old. Next year I am looking forward to duck hunting with both my wife and daughter...

Any tips on making it more interesting for the wife and girls is always appreciated... Although, my oldest loves to go, and has yet to get bored, I have another one coming up the ranks.

I used to gather the wife and kids (kids about 8 and 10 years old then) and put them in the old farm pickup and head out to our 6 acre patch of sagebrush and cheat grass and tear through the brush on "safari". When the neighbors drain water got away and flooded the lower corner we would have to go "4 wheeling". Tons of fun and it was only 5 minutes from the house. That was also a good-excellent spot for dove so when the kids were older and shooting we would go on "safari" after a hunt.
