Always been a pretty big fan of cover scents - especially apple. It seems that it masks the human order pretty good ( I do make sure I am as scent free as possible before using it) as well as a scent that keeps deer relaxed.

As I'm always looking for something new or to learn - what cover scents do you others use (if any) and why?

Bones , I use one and only one cover scent, Team Fitzgerald deer dander..It smells like a deer , not a urine smell..I spray bottom of boots for the walk in , all around my stand and on My clothes if I am still hunting..

My buddy wore this scent cone waffer on his hat and the buck smelled it and backed staight up and out of there. If in a tree stand I would not recommend this. The earth smells like ground, not the top of a tree.

No and I think that sometimes, having a food smell that stands out is more effective.

Your food smell stands out for sure! If there are no apples where you hunt the deer smell this and it alerts them something is different in there living room. High Alert!!!
It is not acting like a cover scent now, but more as a attractant. Do you want to give up your location and make the deer more aware of where you are?

I start drinking Chlorophyll a month before opener. You can buy it at any health food store. It cleanes your system from the inside out so you don't stink! Thats it... Your poop might turn green though!:grvn
