Had a great trip to the Creation Museum in northern Kentucky this weekend. Went up with the church, but did not ride the bus, drove my own vehicle. Stayed the night and then we went to the museum on Saturday morning, got there about 9:30am and stayed until 5:30pm. Saw three theater presentations and a lot of stuff to look at in a walk that covered from the creation to the New Testament times. Also took a walk in the botanical gardens.
This is not for small children as it has a lot of reading, but they would enjoy the dinosaurs on display. I would recommend this to anyone.

Actually, it has more to do with being rude, insulting, and obnoxious to posters, not whether or not you accept his ideas.

....or , one could learn to disagree without being rude.

or just move on to another thread that you can agree with. :)

LOL....mmmm k. I saw sensible posts being deleted and then other posts asking what happened to the thread get deleted as well.

You can call it what you want, and I'll call it cherry picking.

I don't think it's ideas that are not tolerated ---

I think you will find people are asked to leave that have a rude and belligerent nature. Expressing an opposing opinion in a civilized way is usually welcomed here.

You must admit, some things go too far.

Well, I don't believe in Creationism, but see no need to ridicule CharlieC about that. If we were debating Creationism vs. evolution I would challenge him on data and evidence. But we weren't. He visited a museum, thought it was interesting, end of post. I imagine that I would enjoy it, too.

Also, as a Mod, I know that sometimes almost all posts have to be deleted to get the ugliness to go away. I catch flak for that, too.

Then why not delete the post or move it to the Religion forum? Simply deleting ALL the replies sends an odd message doesn't it. I think you will agree that certain criteria around here gets the nod over the alternative here quite often.
