IMG_3256.PNG IMG_3254.JPG On this date June 6 ,1944 more than 160,000 allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy to engage in one of the bloodiest wars in history against the Nazi Germans by end tallying an estimated 425,000 casualties .

73,000 Americans filled their boots and went to war on D DAY . Arguably some of Americas bravest and most heroic young men ever to walk this earth with balls the size of rhinoceros stormed the shore and parachuted into battle . More than 5,000 ships and 13,000 aircraft were deployed into action with massive air strikes and naval bombardments . There was approximately 10,000 allied casualties on D Day , estimated 2,499 being Americans . But troops moved in and gained control and eventually defeated Adolf Hitler and the Nazis .

Remember .. Freedom is not Free ! If you think you are having a bad day or your job sucks , it is NOTHING .. NOTHING compared to what those young men endured as they stormed the beaches of Normandy June 6 1944 . God Bless our troops . ______________________________
