The visitors are quickly taking the lead
had a great 4 day weekend , had some ice but ,blind managed 84 ducks and 4 geese over 4 days, a mixed bag but mainly mallards ,gadwal, and ring neck.
hunting in central zone in s.w.Ill I think the water will soften up by next weekend.
I saw a lot of open water around here today but no birds .
Duh!!! You should have looked at the fly up lines at McDonalds, it was loaded with ducks. What is a duck supposed to do in 6 to 15 inches of snow and an inch of ice? They are gone because there is no food for them...

Well, what happen to this thread? Must be so good guys don't have time to post.
All ice is finally gone, we're gonna rest it a day or two now before hunting again to see if we can get some more ducks using the lake. Will be back at it mid-week.
The ducks are still here, you just have to do a little scouting
