    had a great 4 day weekend , had some ice but ,blind managed 84 ducks and 4 geese over 4 days, a mixed bag but mainly mallards ,gadwal, and ring neck.
    hunting in central zone in s.w.Ill I think the water will soften up by next weekend.:)

    I saw a lot of open water around here today but no birds .

    Duh!!! You should have looked at the fly up lines at McDonalds, it was loaded with ducks. What is a duck supposed to do in 6 to 15 inches of snow and an inch of ice? They are gone because there is no food for them...:mad:

    All ice is finally gone, we're gonna rest it a day or two now before hunting again to see if we can get some more ducks using the lake. Will be back at it mid-week.

    All ice gone at Marshall,boat ramp back open.:tu Seen lots off high flying
    birds Sat.South rest area not holding any birds.:mad: They are scattered
    out in the flooded timber.Shot one mallard and one red breasted merg[:dv ]
    Sat. One mallard Sun.Had a bunch of Woodford hunters drawing Sun.
