I bought the L.D. Deception collapsibles this last season, and really like the looks of them and how they look on the water. I don't own the Dakotas, but I'm not sure I like their poses.

The Dakotas seem a little brighter, which, in theory (from the human mind) would make them stand out better. The 6-pack has 2 upright heads. The 'marsh' pic shows 3 uprights out of 6, which I do not believe is correct. (Then again, Dakota might want to highlight the taller profile, who knows)

Not that I think any of that would matter. You'll kill birds over either.

I`ve seen them in hand. Don`t really like collapsible`s. They might save some space when you take the air out of them, but the weight is about the same as a regular decoy.

Had some in hand a few weeks ago. To me the color was not as bright as the pics and actually way off, particularly for mid to late season. I’d compare the color to a September bird in the upper mid west

I bought a 1/2 dozen of the Lucky Duck.

Used them a half season and they work well, self right when thrown, colors look good and pack down into a backpack I use along with some other decoys.

The many different species of ducks that we killed did not seem to mind them.

I also hunt over the Banded foam 1/2 shell mallard decoys that I touched up with paint and the same results in the same spots.

Older I get the less weight I want to pack.

    To each their own success
