Fella is a lawyer from Monroe, LA and was a member here who was pretty well liked by everyone who had thick enough skin to appreciate his sense of humor. He once made a thread about "coon hunting" that might have been construed as being racially bigoted.. Got hisself banned for it.

Here's my question because I have experienced the same things you guys have. Why doesn't the AGFC or every state for that matter, implement a 100-200 yard distance rule. You cannot set up within this distance. Seems like that would cure a lot of problems. Probably has something to do with license sales.

A lot places do have a distance rule. In all actuality, most people most of the time have enough sense to set up a safe distance away. It won't be far away enough for your liking, they may screw you over on some birds, but there won't be any real dangers from pellets. And most people wayyy underestimate distance, especially on the water. If you set up a stake 200 yards away and asked folks how far it was, most would claim about 100 yards.

200 yards is too close. Period....I don't and never will set up that close......But IT Happens in BM daily
