    From Fox News :
    However, the flu vaccine was reported to be only 10 percent effective against the H3N2 strain, according to USA Today, citing the public health journal Eurosurveillance.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Medical effectiveness is measured in NNT (Number Needed to Treat).
    With adequate Vitamin D intake, the NNT was 33. This means that one out of 33
    people with adequate Vit. D will get the Flu.
    NNT for this year's Flu vaccine was (at least) 40..... And might be as high as 80,
    No, hell no. This is what I tell my physician when he asks every year. Ineffective, unnecessary and exemplifys what's wrong with the medical/pharmaceutical industry.
    Yes I always get it, one less strain of flu to worry about and this year I have a 10% less chance of getting it.
    It has also been shown that getting this year's version of the flu shot will increase your chances of getting another strain of flu.
    You'll need to provide a credible source for that statement for me to believe it.
    It's not true... Doc E is in the business of "alternative medicine" and has a long history of making asinine claims and berating traditional medicine on this forum.
    Doc,
    Are you implying flu shots are likely to have more of the placebo effect than actual clinical efficacy?
