Post up if you have killed a turkey this spring season
Killed 2 myself. Called in one more for a son.
Killed one myself, and helped my wife get one.
Took 3 myself and helped call in another 2.
killed 2 myself, 1 longbeard and 1 jake
Killed 2 myself and called in 2 more for another guy. All mature toms. Had my 3rd bird at 32 steps just over a rise in Indiana last week. Wouldn't raise his head another 2 inches for me.
I love the early season this year!
I had a good season, I killed three, called up 6 more 3 of them died, we had 2 misses and one got wounded and we couldn't find him.
I had a couple of other turkeys that gave me good shows but offered no shots.
Shot 2 myself and called in one for a friend.
Hunted almost every Thurs-Sat or Sun (depending on which state I was in...) and only shot 1 jake on the last weekend I could hunt in SC.
They were really tough for me and the guys I hunt with. A normally 2-3 longbeard killer went O-fer last year and saved another O-fer this year with a 9" 18lb tom.
Maybe I shouldn't hunt as much so my success rate gets higher...
Nah, on second thought I need to hunt longer! Not sure the boss would like that though.
On a side note, we managed to lower the yote population by at least 2 confirmed and 1 might have been (I missed )
Looks like I am the only one so far who did not score My first year coming up to speed by myself. Got hooked though - next year watchout
