I'm very new to diver and sea duck hunting, can anyone tell me if rain affects the hunt? Should you go out even if it calls for rain? Thank you for any information

I hunt in all types of weather. Unless the water is simply too rough to be out. Usually the more miserable it is the more I try to get out because I usually have less people around :)

I live in western Washington where it rains almost daily during hunting season and can honestly say that rain has no effect on diver and sea duck hunting, the thing you need to worry about is wind speed. No wind and they don't fly well and too much wind and it's dangerous out there.

I guess I am the exception, but around here the divers do not fly well in the rain a drizzle they will fly but in rain they don't fly so much. Now if it stops for a few minutes they tend to get up and fly around until it starts again
