How old is your dog ?
Also, Chondroitin in an adult dog only has a 0.03% benefit.
Is your glucosamine in the HCl form or the Sulfate form ?
How many mg of HA and what is it's source ?

When standing can you see at least a hint of a couple of ribs?

My knees gave me a lot less pain after loosing 50 pounds. :h

Not sure why Doc E didn't suggest some of his Boswellia but I use his or a similar product with my older female who has a hip problem and she shows a remarkable difference in the amount of stiffness after a few hours in the upland looking for pheasants!!

If you are gonna go the Rimadyl route ask your Vet. for a script for Novox instead. Its a generic for Rimadyl they are both carprofen The Novox is about half the cost of Rimadyl. And don't buy it from you Vet. have Costo or Walmart order it for you, it will be way cheaper that way. About $20 for 60 tab's.:yes:tu

Tell me more about Boswellia. My dog is 2 and shows signs of stiffness after exercise and then resting. Stiff after she gets up. Local vet did X-rays and says hips look ok.

Boswellia Serrata is extracted from Frankeinsence.
It is a natural anti inflamatory, but it works by inhibiting Leukotrienes (instead of Cox-1 or Cox-2) and thus has no contraindications and no reported adverse effects.
It is by far the best preventative and treatment for "Cold Tail" and most all other inflammatory conditions.

Is that some that would be given continuously or just as needed?
