Looking to get a light weight upland vest for my lab. Lightweight for warmer weather and protection against barb wire and grass awns. Any suggestions? Thanks

The Filson dog vest looks pretty good. The Filson vest covers the chest and stomach to protect from barbed wire, snags, and sharp stubble. I have not owned the Filson product myself, but have friends that put them on their Labs and German Shorthairs when upland hunting and they seem to work pretty well.

In my experience the Sylmar vest is the best I've tried. The Cabelas vests I have tried just don't hold up to rigors of the upland hunting I do. I have 3 Cabelas vests and 2 need repairing as the stitching has unraveled and the fabric tears. The Sylmar seems to be better material and stronger. Just my observation. Good luck.
