Push thumb into bird under the sternum and pop out the breast. Remove skin and wings leaving just the breast. Season lightly with Lawry's and garlic powder, wrap with bacon, grill over medium heat to medium rare. You be livin' large, standing in tall clover. Only recipe you'll ever need or want for dove I dare say.

I pluck em and soak in a mix of soy sauce, ginger, red pepper flakes and a copious amount of garlic, fresh pineapple and it's juice. I then stuff the dove with a small slice of the marinated pineapple and grill hot and fast.

I just make gravy out of the giblets.

Birds, soy, olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning. Mix well, toss on hot bbq. Works for breasts or whole birds. Give it a good browning and enjoy!

First opener I've missed in decades...Hopefully there will be some left for late season!

I love breasting them out, slice of jalapeno, salt and pepper, wrap in bacon, skewer and slather with your favorite BBQ.
