Duck hunting

    Yes it is a half breed, my dad gave it to me.

    There is just about every type of hunting in California from rice fields, natural marshes, salt water marshes, lakes, rivers, etc. We have a lot of State and Federal refuges. The refuges in the middle of the state are very crowded with lots of compation. You can apply for a reservation however the odds are against getting drawn. You can get in the sweet line and fill in for persons who don't show up on reservations. I like to hunt the Klamath Basin area as there are more ducks and less crowded with hunters, except for opening weekend. They also open the Klamath area two weeks early for the junior hunts:tu.

    Thats cool I have one to. I like it if I'm hunting small geese but if I'm going for big geese I don't like it. I'm getting a Zink Money maker soon and thats going to be on my landyard 24/7

    I've hunted almost everyday.....I have 32 kwackers, 40 quail, and 8 roosters

    Pretty slow on the ducks for me........it's gettin alot better though since last Saturday.

    Running tally for this season is 51 ducks, 1 goose, 0 bands.

    No one can beat my grand total of ducks..
    4 baby..
    haha, 1 gw teal and 2 widg drakes, and a mallard drake.. haha
    duck season for me this year has SUCKED..

    but i've made up for it on geese.
    53 baby.. lol


    Nice cackler there smith..

    I LOVE hunting lower K.
    just to far for a 16yr old with a crappy truck to drive every other weekend.. lol

    went out last week and got a total of 19 ducks mostly mallards
