I agree with Jzoo. You guys are chasing the front edge right now.

My buddies down in Arkansas did well the first three days of the season. One guy shot 123, 85, and 35 the first three days and all the other people I know shot between 20-50 each day the first three days. A cold front hit and sent most of the birds south of them and the birds haven't come back north yet. There's still plenty of season left, and it's shaping up to be a much better year then the past two years.

No kidding. Eaglehead, Habitat Flats, Hunt Addictions have been smoking 100+ birds a day since the season started. That 568 shoot on Friday looked pretty bad ***, one thing about those big shoots down in Arkansas is the flocks they shoot into our MASSIVE. Been on some big shoots and never have shot into groups like that.

After seeing Habitat and Eaglehead's posts today I have officially stopped stressing over our low numbers in deep So IL. They destroyed them today in Arkansas. Looks like Habitat had a 600+ day.

And Missouri opens up tomorrow. Bootheel's about to get right !

Saw a bunch flying today. Some were heading south even. Most heading north were high fliers.
