Who's ready for september? Went to do a little scouting of a spot and it was full, several hundred atleast. Not sure how many are local but the coast has a ton of birds. Good luck to everyone in about a month's time.

    Gonna start scouting today.
Birds have really changed their patterns around here.

Did okay Saturday. We only got 3 a piece. Was gonna go out Sunday but got too distracted Saturday night chasing tail. First time I've passed on hunting over tail.
But it was new tail, so I couldn't pass.

This weather change has been nice though.
I've noticed that the hunting pressure for the early hunt at the ditch has dropped. Heard reports from maybe 6 different groups Saturday. Go back 4-5 years and over crowding was a problem.
But then again, no where near the amount of geese that used to reside here.

You should come up here, close to 1000 in the area and almost no pressure to push them around. And with it being warm and sunny every hay field has been and baled so they have a choice of whatever field they want or they sit on the bay all day.
