Early Season Honker hunt

    Anyone heading out for the early season Honker season? Just wondering if I should go, found an area where there are a quite a few birds using and have permission to hunt.

    You're way ahead of the rest of us. Most of us going will be pounding it out on public land. At least I will. If I had your set up I would already be scouted, packed and ready. Heck I DON"T have your set up and I'm all of those things.

    To go or not to go...the dilemma that plagues mankind.

    I think you should only go if you have someone with gear and knowledge to tip the odds in your favor. I just happen to have several dozen full bodies and can operate a honker call at a medium-high-semi-intermediate-dangerous-to-geese level.

    I think we are going. Several thousand birds in the area and a brand new Blind. Might just stay at home and wash the truck instead.:no
