He's a good dude..
That was our/my impression too. Him and my dad caught almost a limit each sitting there in a couple of hours. They knew some of the same people growing up in the Anderson area.
Cal has got some stories and is a hell of a nice guy,..ran into him up at Dismal swamp about 23 yrs. ago bow hunting. He had a trailer parked there and invited us over to his camp for evening b.s sessions around his fire.Man was passionate about his work, and he had some colorful remarks about the cats being protected.
Cal is a good ol buy and was a hunters friend as a warden. Or as close as one can be.
What.....no stories about encounters w/ the legendary Lt. Terry Hodges?
Odd story! In 1969 I got checked by a Fed in Saskatchewan in October. Same Fed checked me in mid-November in northern IL. Same, yes the same, checked me in southern IL in January. He was the Flyway Fed!
