I have been trying to be a good steward for our passion this year for a young neighborhood boy and his father.

Showing them what I know and helping the best I can with the way we hunt here locally. I went out last week with them and shot my first ducks of the year, some teal, a few gadwall and our constant staple of mottled. Most importantly of all we had a great time.

Here is the shot from two weeks ago of myself and the boy.

This past Saturday they wanted me to go with them but I had to work. I should have known that ?lady lucky? would shine on my young friend. First I have ever held in hand.

Came right in, all by itself, lone drake. Interesting to say the least.

    Enjoy....
