I bought my new 2013 F-15 CrewCab, XLT, 4X4 here in Texas back in February after locating the vehicle I wanted from browsing several dealer's inventory online.

List price was a little over $40K and the dealer sold it to me for $30K (Plus the usual TTL).

That included knocking off $1,500 if I financed it with Ford Credit. I told the salesman that I was paying cash, and he said "No problem, just finance, say $10K of it, and pay it off when you get the coupon book in the mail...people do it all the time." So that's what I did.

I paid the $10K off along with a little interest, and surprisingly Ford sent me a refund check back for the interest.

I got a 2013 loaded xlt 4x4 with some custom options. List was 44,00 and I walked out paying 31 plus ttl. Shop around. They can sell em a lot cheaper than you think.

I realize my post was kind of lacking any bases. I was in a hurry. I have been looking around and I remember seeing lariats for 34k so that made me think you should get a bare bones truck out the door in the high 20's.

I own a 2004 F-150 XL and the "no frills" is simply awesome. My truck aint no pansy four-wheeled drive luxury vehicle. I climb in the thing mud and all. My brother spills coffee all over? Who cares! The only time I have cleaned the thing was when I was dating my wife (once).

The one thing that I couldn't do without was cruise control, which I installed myself (though I had to have the dealership flash the onboard computer).

Sorry I cannot comment on price but I can affirm the XL choice!
