    Joe,

You bought a 2014 which is fine but there is much less rebate on it then a 2013. Plus if I was a betting man goose_caller's price includes a trade-in. It has to cause there was an extra rebate for trading in a vehicle that you don't get on a 14.

    Well maybe because its used..........

What does new vehicle profit have to do with what it sells for used?

Here is what kbb says a 2010 F150 4x4 is worth private party with 30k miles on it.

    http://www.kbb.com/ford/f150-super-cab/2010-ford-f150-super-cab/xlt-pickup-4d-6-1-2-ft/?condition=good&vehicleid=252618&intent=buy-used&mileage=30000&options=2798505%7ctrue%7c2798529%7ctrue&pricetype=private-party

Here is what kbb says its worth retail (which is a dirty word to guys on here)

    http://www.kbb.com/ford/f150-super-cab/2010-ford-f150-super-cab/xlt-pickup-4d-6-1-2-ft/?condition=excellent&vehicleid=252618&intent=buy-used&mileage=30000&options=2798505%7ctrue%7c2877991%7ctrue%7c2798529%7ctrue&pricetype=retail

Now here is what you can buy the same truck for new.

    MSRP $40655
    Ford disc pack $39465
    Invoice $36390
    Rebates $6750

    Sell price $29640

So for $6-7,000 more you can buy a brand new truck with zero miles on it that is 3 years newer...

Because you're buying a depreciating asset, not an investment. That's why buying new is a waste of money in almost every case.

Why the ecoboost hate? It's just a turbocharged engine; I bet a 5.0 ecoboost would be awesome.
If it's the turbo you're scared of--the diesels have one too
