    This entire duck thing is starting to intrege me,...but IMO, nothing still beats a quality day chasing roosters!!

    the only uplands in these parts are ruffed/spruce grouse,pheasant,woodcook and snipe: NO TURKEYS YET sob
    No season on huns.

    My Favorite upland birds to hunt
    1- White tailed ptarmigans
    2- blue grouse
    3- ruffed grouse
    4- gambels quail

    1) Ruffed Grouse - Went for the first time last year...loved it:tu

    2) Woodcock- See above:yes

    3) Bob White- Don't get to do it nearly enough:(

    Some "western" birds are on the "Things To Do" list, (Gotta get a Sage!) and nothin' is funner than a hot corner in a dove field!!
