Browning A-5 20 gauge 26" skeet choked
I have 3 guns that I use to hunt upland game. I shoot a Benelli, Montefeltro, a Benelli M-1, and a Browning (Belgium made) Superposed O/U. By far and away, my favorite, is the Browning Superposed. It has 28 inch (3 inch chambers) barrels, choked light modified, and light full. This gun is extremely light, comes up perfectly when I mount it, and shoots where I look. I have a lot of confidence when hunting with this gun, and for me it's my all time favorite.
Wow, this post sure did get resurrected from the archive bin. Good to see some action on the Upland Game Forum again.
My favorite is the gun I've had for the last 3 seasons - Beretta Silver Pigeon in 12 gauge with 26" barrel and 5 choke options for any upland bird. I like improved in both barrels for the first half of the season on roosters and then the second half gets a modified choke in the second barrel.
Charles Daly 28 gauge o/u, 26" barrels
Weatherby 20 gauge o/u, 26" barrels
I would have to say my Stoeger Condor. I like 20 ga. for dove and I have not had a chance to use the 12 ga. on pheasant YET.
......and there are enough really nice guns mentioned here to make a great display in the Smithsonian!!
Quite a testimonial to the Upland Birds I'de say.
That's what I'm shooting. Lanber 2087. Love it.
20ga Winchester 101 or the 20ga wingmaster for quail.
12ga 101 full/mod for pheasants.
SKB mod 100 20ga-25" barrels imp/mod SKB mod 100 12ga-28" barrels imp/mod
Browning BSS 20 ga. with straight stock and Briley thin wall chokes.
