They are hard plastic.
I personally would not bag them with the bases on,to much hassle.JMHO.
Just got 6 of these, "walkers". Wish I could have grabbed some feeders also. Specially at 130 bucks. I like them a lot. I agree, stakes could be a bit higher, but what's 4 inches to a bird 100 yards up?
My question is: anyone find a good bag for them yet?
True... I was just thinking they would stick out a little better with a few more inches in a stalked cornfield.
I've heard a lot of people suggest taking the ring bases off when you bag them, but I really don't want to have to do that. If you take the bases off you would need an 11'' x 11'' slotted bag. With the ring bases left on you would need an 11'' x 17'' slotted bag. Seen a few of them out there, but you will end up paying a little more for the bigger slots obviously.
Checkout bulk decoy club's website. They have a nice looking 6 slot bag cheap. I have a Hardcore 6 slot bag that holds my DOA fb with the bases on. Got it at Bass Pro but I can't find it on Hard Core's site
$30 bag hard to beat.
