    Or the couch cushions.
A buddy ended up with two cars from the local car auction. He only wanted one.:scratch My daughters car was having problems so I took the extra car off of his hands and will keep it for a family backup car.
    2010 Impala. 160 K, $1500.
The car wasnt very clean,.. cigarette smoker and I think he shuttled tractor parts in the back seat,..
So the wife is good with the dogs, in any muddy condition riding in the car:)
Well today I started mucking out from under the seats,.. eww should have worn gloves
Lots of hard sugar candy: wrapped, unwrapped, gum, cigarette butts, french fries, tooth picks and other unidentifiable garbage.
The big finds, two pennies and a dime.

Years back I ended up with a low mileage 1979 GMC pickup. The truck had 80K and other than a good wax job, oil and windshield fluid the truck had never had fluid changes. The truck had water in the radiator and driving it home the rear wheel bearing went out from lack of rear end gear oil.
The heater never seemed to work and air flow was poor. I pulled apart the heater and venting. Found hundreds of empty and full rifle pistol and shotgun casings.
    37 different calibers and gauges.
My pickup I bought nearly two years back. The fellows high school daughter missed the still in the wrapper condom in the ash tray or what ever that little storage place was in the driver door.

No used car "finds" stories, but my kid had his Subaru stolen from the parking lot of the shopping center where he worked while in high school. Left his keys in the car. :doh

Well, the brainiacs who stole his car were arrested that night in Spokane 30 miles away, cruising around at 1:30 am while smoking dope and listening to rap music. At least that's what we could reconstruct from the baggie of pot and the 50 Cent CD (both their possessions) that they left in the car.

My son was a notorious slob and when we went to the impound lot to pick up the car the attendant asked: "How long did they have this thing? They really trashed it!". I replied "oh, probably about 7 or 8 hours total" :l. It was all of his food wrappers, pop cans and other miscellaneous garbage that filled the car.

HH hope nothing other than a good story came of it all.
My daughter helps people refinance loans. And every so often they repossess collateral.
A person hadn't made a payment in 18 months and was hiding a car .
Information that this person was coming this direction to attend party. There were concerns about the location of the party . Police were there to video the tow truck hook up, and help with potential problems...As the tow driver was pulling away swarms of people came out of the party house.
A short time later the owner reported the car stolen, the trunk was filled with firearms,.. TheFBI took posession of the car,.. The bank still doesnt know" the rest of the story" Other than the car is in a safe place:sp

A local GMC/Pontiac/Buick dealer has gotten most of our business for the past 37 years.
When the wifes Pontiac mini-van was due to be replaced, we checked their used vehicles first. I dont recall what we test drove, but when my 10 year old son said, "Hey, are these clean?!" and held up a pair of used men's underwear that were in the back seat, we decided to look elsewhere.

I had a long term work rental car (4 month rental) stolen and when the police found it, it apparently had a stack of kiddy porn based on what the detectives told me. It was an odd conversation/line of questioning until they established that the material wasn't mine or my co-workers.

Years ago I bought a used Ford Explorer from a guy I worked with at the bank. I had been driving the car for several months when I pulled the driver’s visor down and a small vial of cocaine fell in my lap. All I could think of was thank god I hadn’t been pulled over by the police and charged with possession.

A coworker was selling a Dodge intrepid for like $1500 a few years ago. A tweaker came to look at it and they drove around the section. Guy wanted it, paid cash, and left. Fast forward 2 months. It’s 2 am and he gets a knock on the door. It’s the highway patrol. The guy was in a vehicle that was pulled over and as the cop walks up he shoots and kills the officer. Of course the cops go to the guy’s house looking for him and in the driveway is the car he bought but never registered. Cops run the Vin and it comes back registered to my coworker so a bunch of troopers show up looking for the guy.
