    He came in hot about 0730. Went into full strut, trying to impress my decoys. Shot him before he had a chance to use his spurs on my jake.

    22.5 lbs
    10" beard

    Nice work. We have another couple weeks before youth season opens in NC. I've been watching a few toms already know where one is roosting.

    :l Didn't. My mom owns a rental house on a very popular lake near where I was hunting. Since it takes me two hours to drive there from my house, and she didn't have renters, we just stayed at her lake house for the weekend. Turkey hunted Saturday, crappie fished Sunday. Ended up catching about 15 crappie between me and my not-so-sick daughter. They really weren't there yet. She has some stumps out in front of her pier that they will bed around. Got plans of doing the same this weekend. :tu
