attached are some pics from the weekend (I hope)
some more the previous one is my buddy, the one attached is me and following is another buddy.
This last picture is "boat combat fishing" at its finest. This is the mouth of the Deshka River. Some actually enjoy this kind of fishing We go up about 7 or more miles and you get away from a lot of the people. River gets kind of skinny and shallow and has some real ugly big, sharp rocks (lovinlgy referred to as the "rock garden") which keeps most people at the mouth. My boats got a few character marks from this stretch of the river.
whoops, that wasn't the mouth of the deshka, but it is my little fishing partner. She's camping/fishing every weekend of the season. A future duck hunter. I guess I deleted the picture. All you would have seen was about 30 boats crammed into a fairly small space (I think you could walk across most of the river here, by jumping or stepping from boat to boat)
Great pitures. thanks for sharin them
Oh how I miss it! I was stationed at Ft. Richardson from '92-'96 and loved every minute of it. I've already told the wife that's where we are going to live when we retire. Nice pics!
I was stationed there from 89-93 with 2/17 then 1/17INF. Couldn't make me leave.
played hooky this morning and went fishing. Was there all of half an hour and hooked into a 35-40lb King. Was a great fight, gave me a good burn on the thumb. Big male . Need more eggs. My supply is getting on the slim side.
