tiny azz hook, with a small split shot to sink small pinch of worm.. tight line it and jiggle it close to big rocks around their nooks and crannies.. they will shoot out like a rice slick and eat your worm..

or just go to a bait shop and buy some..

    good luck..

    Yep, what WC said.
My son also uses left over steak from the night before the same way. He was trying to catch crayfish but ended up catching a bucket full of those things.
This is on the Spring River......should be the same on the White.

I thought trout fishing was retarded til I tried it. It was fun, drifting down and fishing. One day i'll catch a big one, but they are fun to catch.

Ppfff......fishing on the Spring River is a way to get in on the action if the wife is around.
Fish seem to always bite best around 2-3 in the afternoon on the water falls and right where all the canoes get hung up. Some of the canoes get a nice push over the falls by this fisherman. :yes

Why use fishing as an excuse? I would just get in on the action and if the OL didn't want to go, push her *** over the waterfall and pick up another passenger before she hit the water.:reader
