Guys my local Ford dealer just told me that I need new ABS sensors, okay, but that the sensors are in /on the hubs and that I need new hubs (2)= $1100.00!!! Is this true as on Ebay the have all kinds of sensors for under $50.00!

Most of the Ford repair manuals I have say to check the sensor cables and connectors for damage/corrosion. I would go with checking them for corrosion and perhaps cleaning them first, WD-40 works wonders for cleaning and if you can get at the connector ends with a small soft toothbrush all the better.

I found out that a lot of Fords connectors do corrode and have always tried cleaning them before replacing. As was stated I don't know why Ford would want to replace the hubs when the connectors/cables could be the problem.

Yup: $897.42 I DO appreciate all the info here as I thought they could replace JUST the sensors, but another mechanic told me the same thing that to replace sensors you have to replace the hubs. Thanks again.
