I figured they would make it out safely. After all, 12 of them were minors.

I wouldn't be able to sleep with the light off or door closed for a year.

So glad to hear all are out safely. They may be too young to realize it now, but I would hope that this experience would give them an extreme resolve that will follow them throughout the rest of their lives. If they made it through this, making it through any of the other challenges of life should be a piece of cake in comparison. May God rain down blessings on all involved in the rescue.

Mmmmm...I'd like to think I wouldn't be hard on him. But...this was an INCREDIBLY stupid thing to do. There are warning signs all over this place. And to not tell people where you're going? He is an adult left in parental responsibility for these boys. A man is dead because of him and all those boys are lottery-level lucky they're not all dead too.

I'd be happy and thankful to get my son back, for sure.
But I know that I'd have a very hard time restraining myself from making sure this didn't happen again.

Yep, if this had happened in this country, the blame train would be full steam ahead.

From the reaction of the actual parents, they seem to be handling it appropriately.

Had Thai food for dinner tonight, maybe it will work like a Holiday Inn and I'll be smarter tomorrow?

Well considering he's a former Buddhist monk who had both his parents and grandfather his younger brother die well he was still very young so he was raised by Buddhist monks. He came out last not only because he was the coach but because he was in the worst condition and that was due to the fact that he gave all his food to the kids. He basically volunteers all this time to help these kids and after every practice takes home the youngest ones to make sure they get home safe. Did he make mistake sure does he deserve to get railroaded for it not a chance in hell.
