I should see him this week as I have some stuff he wanted for training.
I would think his bitch would be right up there with the best of the best in the USA by the sounds of her last competition and what another Drat owner told me.

Couldn't help myself, so FWIW to clarify the difference between the AKC and the VDD (draghts) breeding standards and getting a registered dog.

AKC does NOT require for breeding:
    1. HIPs or shoulder certfication
    2. Passing scores at 2 different levels (age dependent) for water work (ducks), drags (rabbits/foxes), and steady to wing(upland)
    3. Pass Confirmation to breed standards/judged and scored
    4. New I believe is DNA test
    5. Ear tattoo with registration # from the litter
    6. Litter has to be micro-chipped

I am not saying there isn't great AKC dogs, there is just to much room for error in their breeding program.

Having had National champions in AKC (setters) and winning top dog at the Armbruster with a Draht, I would take my Drahts over GWP any day

He was stoked with the results and think it was the first dog he ran in a competition. He was a handful in his younger years and a great deckhand if you could keep him from throwing a rod over:doh:sp
