    Brazosboyt, what would you say is the max distance for shooting with that setup? You are right I'm shocked it would kill at 35. looks like a fun challenge and good post.

    I shoot the same #6 out of my 12 ga and routinely kill birds at 50+. That's cripples on the water. I rarely shoot birds over 35 yards on the wing. I learned about these shells using them for cripple squatters on snow geese. I call em an angry swarm of gnats. I've made quite a few non-believers on here change their minds. Just ask Shane.

    The 410 load has just as much energy but a whole lot less pellets. If say max is 50 yards but your not gonna see the pellet impact. You get 2-3 pellets and the birds dint go down hard. You however would be shocked at how hard it hits them at 35. Especially one you learn to lead for the head vs the body.
