Getting the Itch!

    With the crazy spring we've had, the birds have been fired up for well over a month. They've been putting on a show. The next month can't pass fast enough...

    Can't quit staring at the hooks on that first bird in the snow.

    I was thinking the same thing. That bird has daggers on his legs. He looks like he's been through a scrap or 2.

    He's the back bird in the 2nd photo in the snow. His spurs are curling up out of the snow! He's a hog, but rarely struts early in the season.

    Wow! Great photos... Our birds in California rarely have long spurs (apparently due to the rocky terrain).

    As far as that itch... They do make some powders for that.
