I always assume duck hunters don't wear gloves while actually hunting and are just wearing them for the trip in and out. Gloves kill the sound of a duck call, and there's no glove heavy enough to do any good thin enough to shoot in.

I do have some insulated rubber gloves I use for running the boat and setting long lines on cold days. I’ve somehow managed to not lose those. But yes, hunting wise I just suck it up. You would think wader companies would catch on and build internal muffs on the inside of the top of waders.

Quit griping and start doing. While you're at it start thinking of all the other mods you could do to waders to make them more useful. A muff is only a heat source away from being a burrito warmer and that would be perfect to have on waders. You could be the wader king of Michigan.

I think that's been done. Thing is, many of us just stick our hands in our waders rather than pockets anyway. For me it would just add bulk with no additional benefit.

Nothing too dramatic, I didn't eat it on a dare or anything. Basically I was moving quick with a weed wacker and ran it straight through a big fresh pile, weed wacker slung a milk dud sized piece at my face and straight into my open mouth.

I still my hands in the top of my waders. That’s why it seems like they could come up with something that wouldn’t add much bulk if any.

The Academy hybrids I have, have one built in to the top of them. Not great (not very thick), but it does the job.
