    Going to try and brave the rain in the morning for the chance at a few Honkers. Teal and dove season were a bust so I'm itching to shoot something/anything! Loving the long-term forecast starting next weekend.

    Going to give it a try if the lightning ain't too bad. Taking some steel 6's and a mojo with me, as I've seen more doves the last two days than I saw all of September.

    Hunting in Audrain county, no rain yet. No geese either.

    My Grandson and friends bagged 17 Canadas this morning. They had to pack in 900 yards through a very muddy cornfield. I told him I probably couldn’t even get out of the pickup. He’s a Senior in HS and it a pretty tough guy. He started hunting when he was 5, I think his Dad and I have created a monster.

    We ended up with two before the rain hit around 10:30. Most of the birds went to a winter wheat field down the road, corn was not on the menu today.

    When working on blind today seen flocks of geese also about 100 specks

    Lots of specs on the move last 3 days. Suspect same tomorrow with North breeze. Got skunked on Honkers today but found enough to try again before church tomorrow.
