Going to try and brave the rain in the morning for the chance at a few Honkers. Teal and dove season were a bust so I'm itching to shoot something/anything! Loving the long-term forecast starting next weekend.

Going to give it a try if the lightning ain't too bad. Taking some steel 6's and a mojo with me, as I've seen more doves the last two days than I saw all of September.

My Grandson and friends bagged 17 Canadas this morning. They had to pack in 900 yards through a very muddy cornfield. I told him I probably couldn’t even get out of the pickup. He’s a Senior in HS and it a pretty tough guy. He started hunting when he was 5, I think his Dad and I have created a monster.

We ended up with two before the rain hit around 10:30. Most of the birds went to a winter wheat field down the road, corn was not on the menu today.

Lots of specs on the move last 3 days. Suspect same tomorrow with North breeze. Got skunked on Honkers today but found enough to try again before church tomorrow.
