goose stuffers

    can anybody give me some advice on making goose stuffers to hunt over........i dont really want to spend the money for someone else to do it so i thought i might give it a try..........like what will i need ect.

    Somepeople I know still use these for decoys, However, keep in mind they are going to take up a considerable amount of space.....and unless you take the time remove all the meat and fat, they will be rodent prone, also, true stuffers are not resilliant to rain, snow, or any of the other elements.

    COnsidering all this and you still want stuffers, then I'd say skin em out, remove as much meat as possible, wings, head etc etc.

    Then take some sort of heavy foam and carve a rough body to use as an attachment place for wires. Wire up the neck and legs as usuall and mount as usual.

    sounds like to much work for a temporary decoy:(

    yea it does sounds like a little bit of work but they sure look good...........im gonna try and make some next year:)
