I plan to head to Greenhead for opening weekend but hear the conditions are quite different from the past several years. I am debating whether to take the canoe or my 16' flat bottom with an outboard and a hydraulic jack plate. Any insight on the best way to hunt with that much water would be much appreciated.

First, welcome to the Fuge.I haven't hunted there in a while but there is a lot of area.Although I would say it a little differently I think scouting is mandatory.

Your best bet is to go look at it. If it's worth hunting, it's worth scouting. However, I'll save you the trouble of deciding if you should take a 16' flat bottom with an outboard motor. You're not able to run a motorized boat out there until late November so you might as well leave that boat at home. That's about the only info I have for you. You're welcome.
