The admin, not Trump, is indicating that Harvey financial support should be tied to a debt ceiling increase. The conservatives have hounded the debt issue for years, rightly so, but I don't see how tying the two together makes any sense. It's like mildly using the victims of a Harvey as a political tool.

I don't see where anyone you support has a idea or made any plans. Go back in the padded room.

Still working on repeal and replacement Ron? You got nothing? LOL! So you have no position on whether the debt ceiling and Harvey funding should be tied together? Politics Ron, its complicated. Or we could move on to South American sanctions, well and including NAFTA, and the potential impact on ag. Good stuff to read on it at farm world online.

Whether on a social, personal or national level, capacity for compassionate assists is not boundless and at some point definitions of "how to" and "how much" must be made. The spectator denizens in the peanut gallery can be counted upon to reel in horror while contributing mostly background noise.

It's been that way for a long time. There's predictable behavior at hand. Some group can be expected to get all indignant no matter what is on the table.

Texas ranks 35/50 in receiving federal help. Not bad. Just in front of Michigan and New York who are both 33/34.

Define assistance and how does the overall population of Texas compare by state to the other 50?
