My 14 y/o Daughter got hers in 40 days and my Wife got hers in 36 days. I was kinda impressed.
My wife just got hers today after only 3 or 4 weeks!
Sent in for mine Monday. We will see how long it takes
I have a problem. My 16year old grandson who lives with me is trying to get his FOID. I am helping fill out the app. and it wants his legal guardians foid number. His legal guardian is his mother and she doesn't have a foid. His dad is out of the picture and probably doesn''t have one even if he was in the picture. I have mine but am not the legal guardian. you have to fill out a notarized paper with all this info on it. How is he going to get his foid?
Hmmmm.... I don't recall having to do that for my son when he was 14, he is 20 now.
There was a phone number on the State police site so I called it to try and register him that way. When I called I got an automated "higher than normal call volume" right now message call back after 5;30pm and it hung up on me. That happened twice.
I have not had a problem since 12/31/2013, the glorious day when I moved from the dysfunctional state of Illinois. I have been smiling ever since.
I sent a FOID application, US Postal Service, in for my son a couple weeks ago and it was returned saying the address was incorrect. Checked the address on the envelope with the one on the application and it was correct. What are my options?
